Frequently Asked Questions

Can I wash my FabWrap?

Yes, as the FabWraps are 100% cotton you can wash and iron your wraps, bags and tags as often as you like.  Use starch on them too if you like a stiffened fabric, or leave natural for a softer look.

What can I wrap?

You can wrap almost anything with a FabWrap!  Use fab wraps whenever you want to replace gift wrap.  You can even turn them into fabric bag-baskets and use them to carry your shopping home, or to give an open bag of smaller gifts.  Look at our ‘How to Wrap’ page for more ideas.

They are very versatile and you can wrap many different sized items without needing to change the size of your wrap.  Just change the way you tie or fold the fabric, or use it like conventional wrapping paper with tape or ribbon in place of sticky tape!

What happens to your scraps?

Sometimes when we cut out our products we are left with scraps that are too small to turn into anything that we can sell.  We don’t get rid of them!  We put them into a scrap bucket and when we have time we make patchwork blocks with them.  As soon as we have enough, we add wadding and a backing and turn them into a quilt which we then donate to a good cause like Project Linus, who distribute quilts to those who need them.

We pass on fabric selvedges (the very edges of the fabric that aren’t good to use in general products – sometimes they are unprinted, and they usually have the ‘pin’ marks from where the fabric was manufactured running through them too) to another quilter, Benta, who makes special selvedge quilts and bags.

Nothing wasted!
