My Story
Hello! Thank you for visiting Fabwraps – I really hope that you like what you see!
I’m Georgie and this is my business.
When I turned 16 my Aunty Al gave me some presents wrapped in fabric, and suggested that it would make a great business. I loved the idea!
We were worried that lots of wrapping paper isn’t suitable for re-cycling, so an alternative would be a good idea. Aunty Al had lived in Japan for a while, where they have a tradition of Furoshiki – wrapping gifts in fabric wrapping cloths.
Based on this idea I thought about how I could make wraps, what they should be made from and how I could share them with others. FabWraps was born!
Running this business may challenge me – I have dyslexia, ADHD and Asperger’s – but my family are going to help me and I’m going to make it a successful business for me to run alongside my college studies.
